Wildland Fire Team

Picture
WILDLAND FIRE RESPONSE
ERT SAR has a firefighting section as part of its rescue response under the C (and lesser known F) Squad.

ERT SAR Wildland Fire Teams have a variety of training and skills to respond to wildland, forest fires, bush fires, grass fires and similar. ERT SAR Fire Rescue (F Squad) also responds to structural and vehicle fires.

Training and certification standards for Wildland Fire come from various sources to complement existing training, ability and resources such as the NFPA 1051 standard for Wildland Firefighting as well as the S Series and SP Series of standards especially found in the United States and Canada (although British and European and Australian such versions also exist.)

Many original and existing standards came from British Columbia and Ontario Canada and
The National Wildfire Coordinating Group www.nwcg.gov

CANADA is one of the many parts of the world suffering record temperatures and fires in the remote woodlands and rural areas.
