FIRE RESCUE TEAMS

ERT SAR has a structure firefighting section as part of its rescue response under the C (and lesser known F) Squad.
We are considered a a non-geographic "volunteer" department and we primarily respond to First Nations communities. Our HQ Fire Rescue base is presently out of Thunder Bay, Ontario although administration and training division is not. ERT SAR Fire Rescue Teams are organised like many Fire Departments and our firefighter standard is NFPA 1001. |
The ERT SAR Fire Rescue (F Squad) uniform and PPE is slightly different than usual ERT SAR Teams.
ERT SAR Fire Rescue (F Squad) also responds to structural and vehicle fires as well as auto-extrication, rescue from vehicle and others such as fire alarms, vehicle accidents, medical calls, good intention calls etc.
