Stop The Bleed

STOP THE BLEED® is one of the United States largest public health campaigns. Its goal is to save lives by training people across the country how to stop traumatic bleeding.

It is now an International campaign and program which has crossed borders and countries to provide training in life saving interventions especially relating to massive bleeding.

ERT SAR have qualified and approved instructors and is able to provide this life saving training with Certification that is recognised by the American College of Surgeons.

"Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventable deaths. Approximately 40% of trauma-related deaths worldwide are due to bleeding or its consequences, establishing hemorrhage as the most common cause of preventable death in trauma.*
Average time to bleed out: 2 to 5 minutes
Average time for 1st responders to arrive: 7 to 10 minutes
Bystanders can fill the gap with STOP THE BLEED®"

Anyone can be trained and be ready to save someone’s life – a friend, a family member, colleague or the person next to you – whether you know them or not.

Now you can get trained, get equipped, be ready, be empowered, spread the word on how to "Stop the Bleed!"

Get Trained
Once of the services we provide as part of our community services and capacity building is training in this Stop the Bleed program.

We generally focus on teaching those on the 'front lines' who are more likely to encounter such incidents and calls for service but this training is not limited to First Responders. [SEE HERE national-stop-the-bleed-day.html LINK]

For that reason, We do tend to teach Police, Fire Fighters, Medical Responders, Military, etc more than other groups.

Please get in touch if it's something your agency needs by contacting us at stopthebleed@ert-sar.com
