About Us

We are a national and international humanitarian disaster Response Search and Rescue organisation. Founded in 2002 The Emergency Response Team Search and Rescue (ERT SAR) is a Registered Charity in England & Wales Number 1102722.  ERTSAR is a Federal Non-Profit NGO in Canada.  It is a United Nations INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) coordinated team seeking classification and a WHO Mentored Medical Team (Type 1 Mobile - Unclassified). It is a UK deployable DEFRA Asset for Flood & Swiftwater.  ERTSAR (The Emergency Response Team Search and Rescue) is also known as OSAR which is an acronym for "Oxfordshire Search and Rescue" in the UK but is usually known as ERT SAR.
